EPiC MULTITONE AND SOLIDTONE WORSTED WOOL YARNS ARE HISTORIC.
EPiC Yarns have been researched, developed, designed,

your textile design projects.
The EPiC LINES INCLUDE: 102 BLENDABLE MULTITONE
and 12 SOLIDTONE COLOR UNITS.
EPiC's Multitone and Solidtone colors are each unique. Open twist strands combine to become any size; colors blend to become countless expanded colors.
EPiC Multitone yarn are 99 natural dimensionally
shaded colors plus Natural, Anthracite, and Non-color for a total of 102
units. These excite the eye when any single Multitone color is multistranded
into a larger individual
color or to see mixtures of Multitones merge into enhanced colors. EPiC Multitones were inspired by the dimension and clarity MAB found in vegetally-dyed
fibres, historic textiles, and rugs. She developed a comprehensive color
system whereby in a single organic dye process, each color flows into its
multiple tones. Multitones effectively display natural shading while functioning
as single colors, millions of which can be created visually by blending strands
of individual colors as a painter mixes paints into a unique palette.
EPiC Solidtone yarn is comprised of 99 solid colors plus Bleach White,
Coal Black, and Ivory, an additional 102 units which complement the EPiC Multitones.
Currently, 12 units are in production: Coal Black, Bleach White,
Ivory, 7 fashion tints, plus designer favorites, Brass and Driftwood.
EPiC Multitone and Solidtone Worsted Wool yarn are offered in a range of

Mary Ann Beinecke (MAB) is the textile artist and designer who
founded and was the director of the former Nantucket School of Needlery. It was the home for over 50 resident instructors in the needle arts, and hosted important guest instructors from the world over. It was the only licensed needlework school in the country at the time. She is the author and illustrator of the former Nantucket School of Needlery Extension Course for Home Study and of the currently available Dover book,
Basic Needlery Stitches on Mesh Fabrics.
EPiC is wound and packaged in its United States warehouse in Maine,
in an historic midcoast village on the Medomak River. EPiC Worsted Wool yarn is a 2/18 worsted wool count, packaged in convenient quantities to precisely fulfill the specific needs of its user.

| EPiC Cones are wound to order as 1-lb, 1/2-lb or 1/4-lb units. It is unusual for a high quality yarn to be available on cones and even more so wound in smaller quantity per
color. Cones permit easier knitting by machine and warping of looms, combining strands and blending
colors and textures. Cones may be waxed at no additional cost, if required, for ease in machine knit.

EPiC PullSkein is a convenient 2-oz self-contained unit. Carry Handle Box of light cardboard is offered free with your order of 2-oz Pullskeins. Knit your choice of up to eight
colors and/or strands straight out of the box!

EPiC Hanks are available in both 1-oz and 1/2-oz. Hank diameter is a convenient 25-inch needlength so it may be cut in half and further subdivided for small projects or sharing. |
EPiC Samples of its yarn
colors are made available as a benefit to best determine the needs of your
projects. MAB advises purchase of either of the Color Selection sample
options as described here to accurately compare individual unique colors
and test blends creating new colors you select for your ideas. Individual
units may be replaced as used to keep your Color Selection complete.
EPiC 10-Yard Reeling PackIt is a collection
of 114 10-yard reelings, one each of 102 Multitone color units
(99 Multitones plus Natural, Anthracite and Non-color) and 12 Solidtone
color units (9 Solid colors
plus Bleach White, Coal Black and Ivory). Packaged in a reusable clear
plastic tube, use for designing, matching, combining, testing, and viewing
blends of new uniquely created colors. Each is knotted and labeled for
convenient handling.
EPiC Designer PackIts are available as 102
Multitone color units of 1/2-oz Hanks in a clear plastic zipped bag and
also as 12 Solidtone color units of 1/2-oz Hanks in a clear plastic tube.
This is the professional way to play with color, mix, sample, display and
design. Designer PackIts are offered to enable the shopper to sample the
complete EPiC color system from which to custom select individual colors
and blends. |
